Amber and Bode!
Hello and Welcome!
Cactus Critter Sitters is owned and operated by my husband, my mother, and myself. We sort of fell into pet sitting by always feeling guilty about asking friends and or family to watch our furry babies when we left town. So one day I looked up pet sitters, hired someone, and we loved it! At that time we decided what a great idea and we wanted to become professional pet sitters, too. So we began professionally pet sitting in 2004.
My family's background was and still is in professional office work and senior care giving. Those backgrounds and having family pets since birth, gave us a strong foundation to use with our clients and furry clients, everyday!
We have experience in everything from daily walks to special dinners prepared at the clients request. We take pride in everything we do! No job is too big or too small little! We know that you will be impressed with our services and references to back them up!

To continue our commitment to being a professional pet sitter; Amber Rademaker, co-owner, attended Pet Sitters International 12th Annual Quest for Excellence Convention held September 28-October 1, 2006. Amber was one of more than 250 professional pet sitters and industry supporters to attend. Considered by many to be the professional pet-sitting industry's premier convention. Quest welcomed 39 states and Canada to the Convention. Amber took part in the following sessions: "The Subtle Signs of Dog Behavior and Body Language", "Animal Law 101", and "The Dog Bible". Amber also participated in PSI'S annual Quest Charity Auction, which raised money to benefit the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary of Kanab, Utah, and Noah's Wish, which is dedicated to rescuing and sheltering animals in disaster. .
As of 2008, Amber, has taken additional training through NAPPS, to become a Certified Pet Sitter. The course give additional training on office procedures on general first aid for pets. We have all been trained in CPR and First Aid for people and plan to get trained for pet as soon as a class opens up this year!
